Meet Gary
The Man Behind
The Field of Dreams
Gary's journey into the world of car shows started when he was just 18 years old. After buying and customising a van, he found himself surrounded by like-minded vehicle enthusiasts, who eventually formed The Dragon Roadsters. In 1992, as the club's event organiser, Gary led the team to host their very first show at the Langrove Motel in Swansea. By then, he'd traded the van for a stunning 1957 Chevrolet.
The following year...
The show grew bigger, moving to BP Llandarcy, Swansea, attracting vehicles from as far as Holland.
Then a few years later...​
Life naturally shifted gears as family priorities took the front seat, but in 2018, Gary was persuaded back into organising car shows. After a successful event in 2018 and 2019 and a change of venue the idea for Field of Dreams was born. The name was inspired by a trip to a car show in Florida with his good friend Paul Siudowski, along with a nod to the classic Kevin Costner film.

​Thanks to Gary's passion and dedication, Field of Dreams continues to grow and thrive. With the fourth event set for 2025, Gary acknowledges after being solely responsible for the first Field Of Dreams show, that without Pauls support, help and dedication, the show would not be the success it is today. He ads the Field Of Dreams Team would like to thank vehicle owners, trade stands, sponsors, the public, Riverside Caravan Park for their continued support
